Havre Daily News/Floyd BrandtCASA member Hasanna Hutchins met in Town Square to plant pinwheels Thursday. Each pinwheel represents a child that CASA has intervended for. There are 211 pinwheels planted in the square. Executive Director Mark Douglas said that he was glad that the number not any higher.
Havre Daily News/Floyd Brandt Fish and Wildlife held an open house in Havre discussing the new procedures for boating in an effort to control the stripped mussel Wednesday. Canyon Ferry and Tiber lakes will have server inspections, that all boats being pulled from these lakes must be clean, drained, dry and put into a decontamination tank. If a boat owner had a special need to let them know that they were not there to break anyones boat.
Havre Daily News/Floyd Brandt The Salvation held it's annual "Talent of the Hi-Line" contest to raise funds for the Salvation Army Saturday. The benefit was held at the Havre High School Auditorium. Mary Stevens was first in the lineup of talented acts. Stevens performed seven pieces on the harp flawlessly.
