Havre Daily News/Floyd BrandtCarrying the cross down 5th Avenue in Havre on Friday marks Good Friday. Leading a large group of believers for the last time retiring Pastor John Chapman begins the trek from the Lutheran Church to 5th Avenue Church with the cross resting on his shoulder.
Havre Daily News/Floyd Brandt Walleye Unlimited Fresno Chapter held it's annual fishing education classes for middle schools Friday. 5th and 6th graders from schools in the area came to Fresno Reservoir to learn boat safety, about fishing equipment including electronics, fish identification then given the opportunity to ride in boat on Fresno Reservoir. Walleye unlimited Chapter President Nate Molstad said that for some of these children this will be a first for them to be in a boat. Excited 6th grader Ereka Harvey from North Star and 6th grader (left) Mace Bachoco from Big Sandy get to ride in Walleye Unlimited Treasurer Chuck Wimmer's boat. Wimmer said "This is great for the kids. This what all the hard work and donations are for, these are the future fishing generation."
